Photographed in the old Aroid house, which I always thought was the most beautiful greenhouse ever built. Unfortunately, it was of major architectural significance in the gardens and using it to grow plants was compromising its structure, so it has been emptied of plants and renovated. It is now a tragic spare part in the gardens of no practical use and visiting it is like attending an extended funeral for a dear old friend. It makes me sad every time I pass it.
