Ananas comosus 'Variegatus'

Ananas comosus 'Variegatus' 12th October 2006
Photographed at Kobakoba.

The plant always has a pink tinge in the centre as a result of the spilled blood of the poor sod who potted it.
I once spent a week poting a bench of 5000 of them, and swore I would never do anything that stupid ever again.
It wasn't the only time I swore that week.
